This guide will show you how to increase your Google AdSense earnings using a few simple tweaks and a few tips. This can boost your AdSense CPC, and can result in a five-fold increase in your AdSense earnings.
The goal of your AdSense CPC/CTR should be to increase slowly. By following these simple tips, you will see the results.
Keep testing, and you will see an increase in AdSense earnings over time. Don’t lose heart!
1. AdSense and the internet are ruled by content.
Content is at the top of all other tips because it is the most important rule you should follow in your SEO and internet marketing journey. This is what your visitors, advertisers, crawl bots, and bots (adbots and crawl bots), will see when they visit your website.
Google will lower your website’s quality if you provide outdated or low-quality content to your users. This will result in a drop in your CPC (the amount of bids that advertisers place on your website). Even if your website generates quality traffic, this can make you smart-priced.
Always provide something new and valuable that your visitors and readers will appreciate.
2. It is important to consider the size and placement of ads
Don’t forget to optimize the size and placement of your Google AdSense ads. They are crucial in delivering better user experiences and therefore, increasing your AdSense earnings.
Boris Dzhingarov (SEO expert) explained that when creating ad sizes or placements, the user experience and ad visibility should be the main focus.
“Some placements or ad sizes may cause disruption to users, especially if they cover content. He said that some placements and ad sizes will be unsuccessful as users won’t see them, leading to decreased AdSense revenue.
Now the question is, where and what size display ads should you use? It is easy to answer this question: place two ads within your blog posts or content and one outside of the post. Place one large rectangle 336×280 ad at the top of your blog post, just below the title. Then place the second banner 468×60 in the middle of your blog post. You can place the remaining unit in your sidebar to the right of your blog post.
Your AdSense ad units should be placed in a way that isn’t distracting to your visitors. Place your AdSense ad units in the right places to increase clicks.
A site offering file downloads may have an AdSense Ad Unit near the download link in order to receive a high CTR.
3. AdSense ad units should be monitored and limited in their use
You might want to limit the AdSense ad unit usage. My personal favorite way to increase AdSense CPC is to reduce the AdSense ad units with the lowest CTR.
If you don’t have enough content, lower-paying ads will show on your sites. While this may increase your click through rate (CTR), and possibly bring more clicks, it may also cause your website to be exposed to lower-paying ads (public advertisements). Your AdSense earnings will drop and your CPC will fall. By increasing your Ad Units, you make it easier for advertisers on your site. This means a lower CPC (because of low bids span>
Get rid of low-CTR ad units. You’ll see a rise in your earnings if you replace them with higher-paying ad units.
These tips will help you see a significant improvement in your AdSense CPC and a decrease in AdSense CPC.
Google AdSense Custom channels will be required to keep track. This will allow you to determine the most effective ad slots. Each ad unit’s CTR, CPC and CPM should be measured.
To get a better idea of the performance of your ads, create custom channels and monitor them for at least 2 weeks. You might end up with inaccurate results if you change your ad units too often.
This is how you can increase your AdSense CPC.
You can remove low-performing ads from your website. Compare CTR and final earnings for different units. Google will now show better ads to the remaining ad slots that are performing well. Your earnings and CPC will rise.
4. Allow text and image to be combined, media-rich ads
Your websites should always allow both image and text ads. Limiting your ad visibility only to image/media-rich ads or text ads will reduce the potential for advertisers to appear on your site. This will directly impact your AdSense CPC.
AdSense will show you the ad that has the highest bid. This means you’ll get a lower CPC.
Simply put, the more advertisers you have bidding on appearing on your website, the higher your AdSense cost per click.
5. Keywords, keywords and more keywords
You can search for keywords with a high AdSense CPC and high search volume. Global searches made using the Google Adwords keyword search tool. To find keywords with low competition, high CPC and high search traffic, you can search, search, and search again.
Once you have done your research, you can create pages for your website, blog posts, or articles about high-value keywords. These keywords should be used naturally at the beginning, middle, and end of your content. These keywords can also be added to your headings and tags.
Avoid keywords that only pay a few cents or have a low CPM. In the ideal scenario, I recommend that keywords have a CPC greater than $2.50.
This should be your most important mission. A page that only earns one cent from five to ten clicks would not be a good choice. You want a page that earns four to five dollars per click, or even $40 dollars per click with just eight clicks.
You will lose traffic if your keyword focus is not on. This is like giving money to your competition. You can achieve a lot with very little traffic by targeting the right keywords.
Use the Google keyword tool to increase your Adsense CPC, and earn more.
6. Fraud, accidental, or ineffective clicks can be reduced
Is there an ad unit near the top of your content that receives a high CTR but is it a good placement? This could also be due to the awkward position that people click on your ad accidentally. Visitors will often close or back out of the ad when this happens. Google considers this an accidental or fraudulent click.
These clicks may bring you temporary earnings, but the clicks are usually reverted due the low quality nature of the click.
You should always minimize accidental clicks and unproductive clicks on AdSense ads units.
